John F. Mulligan
Civil Litigation. John has represented business owners in a variety of civil litigation matters involving contract disputes, claims of wrongful termination and discrimination, shareholder disputes in closely-held corporations, and business torts.
Business Law. John assists individuals and business owners in choosing the right business entity, business formations and analysis of corporate governance documents. He also counsels business owners to avoid shareholder and member disputes.
Employment Law. In the area of employment law, John works closely with clients to draft and review employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, non-compete and confidentiality agreements. John also assists clients in developing employee policies and updating handbook provisions. He also provides advice and counsel to businesses in matters involving employee discipline and termination issues, and drafts severance agreements.
Real Estate and Multi-Unit Housing. John represents property owners, landlords and commercial tenants in the review and drafting of commercial leases, tenant collections and evictions.
John F. graduated with honors from both the University of Minnesota Law School and the University of San Diego. He joined the firm as a law clerk in 2006 and as an associate in 2009. John's practice focuses on commercial litigation, landlord and tenant law, business, and employment law. John is admitted to the Minnesota bar, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit. John lives in Minneapolis with his wife Nancy Taff.
